Hi, I’m Racheal.

I was born and raised in Vermont but eventually migrated down to Florida, hence the name.

I started this blog to document and share my recipes and love for food. I started cooking at a young age but didn’t truly appreciate the process until I had my own kitchen. When people ask what I cook my response is usually, “anything and everything”. I love trying new places, new foods, experimenting with new flavors and trying to improve the recipes each and every time.

Luckily for me, my other passion is living a healthy lifestyle and working out. Fitness has always been a passion of mine and food & fitness go hand-in-hand. I have working towards my certification in Nutrition and I can’t wait to take what I learn and implement it into some of the recipes.

Who else needs a vacation right about now? Staying on track while on vacation.. what does that mean to you? To me, it means not restricting myself, not binging- finding my balance. Caramelized Banana & Blueberry French Toast to fuel me for this 4 hour hike through the Pitons No grinches allowed 🚫 I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Dropping this Maple Apple Crisp recipe for y’all to try. I’m not going to pretend to reinvent the wheel here but the key to a memorable Apple Crisp is to substitute 1/4 of the white sugar with Vermont Maple Syrup and to use all different kinds of Apples. Looking for a cute date? Head down to West Palms Green Market on Saturdays and pick up some donuts and cider. It's Friday again..It's Saturday, Sunday, what? Heading into the weekend with the mentality that sometimes things get crazy in life and how you react to the craziness is more important than the craziness it’s self. Tomorrow is the start of Fall and I’m already turning into a basic fall chick. 🎃 Whipping out the fall recipes, lighting the apple candles and poorly decorating the house. Target has basically robbed me of all my money. I’m pretty proud to admit I haven’t bought a #PSL yet though but it’s only a matter of time. 📍MOOD | If you’re looking for a gorgeous bar with some unique vegan dishes, you have to try @moodtequesta in Tequesta, Florida. My personal favorite was the ceviche “What’s Fish Got To Do With It?” Cupcake time! One of my favorite tricks is to take boxed cupcakes and make them taste like they came from a bakery. Normal boxed cupcakes call for water, oil and eggs but what you can do instead is add milk, pudding mix and sour cream to make them moist and flavorful! Y’all already know what today is 😏 what’s your favorite Taco? Lately mine has been Shrimp Tacos. Make some fresh homemade mango salsa and just season some shrimp with Blackened seasoning. Super simple, nutritious and delicious. Air fried pineapple rings! Pineapples seem to be a theme with me this week I got a new yellow hat with a pineapple on it some new yellow shoes and have incorporated pineapple into at least three of my meals today 🍍 Sunday’s are my days to relax, take an easy and get ready for the week. Started this Sunday with a nice brunch, live music and friends at KORK in Hobe Sound and it was amazing. Happy Anniversary @korkhobesound Raspberry Peach Gallette - Red. White. Blue. Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! A little patriotic breakfast for y’all consisting of raspberries, oats, chia seeds, almond milk, blueberries and some almond butter.
